The Longest Day – Charity Event

On Wednesday the 9th of December 80 hardy souls participated in “The Longest Day – Charity Golf Challenge”.

For those unfamiliar with the event, it consists of 72 holes of golf in one day, consisting of 18 holes of 2 Person Ambrose, 18 Holes of Foursomes, 18 Holes of Team Stableford and 18 Holes of Single Stableford.
The event raises funds for the Cancer Council, representatives of which spoke at the presentation.
The event was also no doubt of substantial benefit to local physiotherapists, chiropractors and alike!

Congratulations to all those who participated in the Challenge, SRGC currently leads the national leader board for funds raised with $80,000.

Special thanks to Vicky Dunn and Steve Gannon for their efforts in making the day a great success.

SRGC is hosting a second booked out “Longest Day Golf Challenge” on the 21st of December. Hopefully, we can stay on top of the fundraising leader board.

The Longest Day – Event 2

After the stunning success of “The 1st Longest Day” event on 9 December a second “Longest Day” event was hosted on the 21st of December.
65 starters took part in the 72 hole challenge, raising funds for the Cancer Council. Money raised funds research, prevention, and support services.

The final fundraising tally from both events hosted at SRGC has topped $100,000.
This stunning effort places us 1st in the nationwide club’s leader board with Wollongong and Twin Creeks filling 2nd and 3rd positions.

All participants over both days should feel justly proud of their efforts.
