Stonecutters Ridge Cup

Saturday the 13th of February saw 138 players tee off in our 2021 Vardon event.
The NSW Vardon winner is the player with the lowest scoring average across Vardon events played throughout NSW.
To qualify for the Vardon trophy a player must play a minimum of 25 events.

Players were confronted with wet and windy conditions early and whilst the wind remained constant during the day, the showers reduced in frequency throughout the day giving those hitting off late a slight advantage. This was reflected in the results with 7 of the top 10 finishers starting their round after 9.45. The course was presented in great condition despite the over night and early morning rain and provided a stern test with the average score being 79.39.

Jake Crowther of Asquith took out the Cup with a 1 under 70. Close on his heals were Joseph Curren (Moore Park), Corey Rae (Cromer) and our own Matthew Horton. Matthew picked up the 2nd runner up prize on a countback.

In the nett event, the Ashlar Bowl, Luke Shahmatov (4) from Fox Hills was the winner with nett 68.
