A LETTER TO GOLF MEMBERS
Posted on: 22 September
Financial Rebate Package
Due to the extraordinary nature of the current lockdown where members depending on their place of residence have been adversely affected, the Board of Directors have approved a one off rebate package worth in excess of $140,000 to assist those members who have had their access to the golf course restricted. The Board recognizes the need to provide, as much as possible, equality throughout the membership despite the obvious challenges. Affected members will receive a credit on their top up account with no expiry date equal to the value of their membership fees for the restricted period. This credit will be applied upon payment of your 2021/22 membership fees. Members who have already paid will receive their credit in the coming days. As normal, you can use your credit in the pro shop and at half way house, then upon reopening in the clubhouse. In addition, competition fees can be paid using your top up account until the end of this year.
Any member who chooses to do so, can pledge their rebate to one of the following areas:
- Junior development
- Course improvement
- Clubhouse improvements
- Staff welfare and development
Please contact Cathy via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Membership Fees and Payments
Your membership fees for 2021/22 remain the same amount as invoiced back in July, if you require a new invoice please contact reception. Membership income, especially without any income from clubhouse operation, is the main source of revenue for golf course maintenance. Discounts on this years membership would result in a reduction in the golf course budget and significantly affect the overall quality of the course and further delay course improvements.
Members who reside within 5km of the club, who have not had their access to the course restricted, your membership fees were due by the 15th September and we thank all of you who have made payment, please continue to enjoy the course.
Members who reside in the greater Blacktown LGA who have recently returned to golf, your membership fees are due by the 30th September 2021.
Members from outside Blacktown LGA, your fees are due within 14 days of your return to golf, hopefully this is sooner rather than later.
Members who are experiencing difficulties paying, or are likely to, should contact Cathy at email@example.com to discuss payment arrangements.
Vaccination and Golf
From the 1st October golf will remain in groups of 2.
However, members can choose to play in a group of four if all parties in the group are fully vaccinated under the current NSW Public Health order of group recreation and exercise. A vaccination check in point will be set up at the front of the pro shop from Thursday 23rd September for you to provide evidence of your double vaccination, you only need to provide this once. Future bookings will automatically notify staff of members double vaccination evidence. Any member who books into a group of four who has not checked in as a fully vaccinated Member will have their booking removed.
Junior members under 16 years are exempt from the Government Public Health Order outdoor gathering and exercise vaccination requirements.
The NSW Government QR code check in is still required at every visit.
NSW Public Health Orders and rules can be found here: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules/greater-sydney
Vaccination and Clubhouse
In all likelihood, access to the clubhouse upon its reopening will be available to fully vaccinated members only, we encourage you all to book in for your vaccinations so that we can welcome you back when the time comes. We are already planning a range of activities, promotions and new menus to ensure your return to the club is memorable.
Please continue to take care of yourselves and your loved ones.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
