ALL BLACKTOWN LGA MEMBERS CAN RETURN TO GOLF

Posted on: 20 September

GOOD NEWS!!

ALL MEMBERS WHO RESIDE WITHIN THE BLACKTOWN LGA ARE NOW ABLE TO RETURN TO THEIR CLUB FOR GOLF!

As per the announcement made at yesterdays (Sunday September 19) NSW Government press conference, the extra restrictions imposed on the hotspot LGAs of concern have been lifted. All of Greater Sydney are now under the same restrictions and public health orders.
Full list of the current Public Health Orders for Greater Sydney can be found HERE

The following local rules still apply:

  • Play will remain in groups of 2 only
  • You need to score your own card
  • No cart sharing is allowed – family members from the same household are exempt

Please follow Covid safe hygiene practices and maintain safe social distancing at all times.

Vaccination and Golf

From the 1st October golf will remain in groups of 2.
However, members can choose to play in a group of four if all parties in the group are fully vaccinated under the current NSW Public Health order of group recreation and exercise. A vaccination check in point will be set up at the front of the pro shop from Thursday 23rd September for you to provide evidence of your double vaccination, you only need to provide this once. Future bookings will automatically notify staff of members double vaccination evidence. Any member who books into a group of four who has not checked in as a fully vaccinated Member will have their booking removed.

Junior members under 16 years are exempt from the Government Public Health Order outdoor gathering and exercise vaccination requirements.

NSW Public Health Orders and rules can be found here: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules/greater-sydney

Please also be reminded that QR check in via the Pro Shop. Mask wearing is mandatory at all times when entering all indoor areas.
Masks may be removed after leaving the 1st tee but musk be worn immediately after leaving the 18th green.

Members are asked not to arrive more than 30 minutes prior to your tee time and must leave immediately after.
Gathering is not permitted at any time, in particular after your game. Any members who don’t follow the public health orders are risking personal fines and are also putting the club at great risk of hefty fines and possibly being shut down.

TEMPORARY RECIPROCAL ARRANGEMENTS
The current reciprocal arrangements with our neighbouring clubs will continue for those eligible members who reside outside Blacktown LGA.
