Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club offers an impressive cadet program conducted in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and is designed to encourage and promote the development of young girls and boys in the sport of golf. The Stonecutters Ridge cadet program owes its origins to the Ashlar Golf Club cadets, first established in the mid 1960’s. Over the years a number of cadets have progressed to higher honours including club pennant competitions through to open Australian events and professional golf.

After a period of introductory sessions and supervised clinics, the cadets are graded into groups, depending on their skills and development. Cadets who have attained the skills level required will compete in a modified weekly round of golf. Cadets play in a supervised and structured 6 hole mini course and then on the course proper in 3, 7, 10 or 18 hole competitions. Cadets may also have access to the course at any time outside club competitions and special events. The cadet program culminates with an annual presentation and awards evening.

The cost ranges from $120 to $300 per year depending on the level attained.

 The cadet fee includes…

·         Registration

·         Polo shirt

·         Use of practice range

·         Use of course in non- senior member competition times

·         Weekly green fees for the year (no need to pay each week – only motorised carts are extra)

·         End of year presentation

The season typically runs between late February to mid October each year, however cadets can play on the course all year round in non-senior member competition times.

All cadets must be accompanied on the course by a responsible adult at all times and at least one parent must be a social member of the Club ($11pa). For more info call us! (02) 9627 7081
