Junior Pennants Wrap Up!

Sunday brought our final round of Junior Pennant’s.
The SRGC White Team went to Cromer Golf Club where they played against Bankstown.
Unfortunately they had a disadvantage straight away as they were 1 player down but that did not bother them and came home with an amazing and convincing 5 – 1 win!!!

Riley Cleminson 4&2
Aayush Verma 5&3
Ruby Ison 5&3
I would also like to add that Ruby was unbeaten through the whole event.
Can I also thank Raymond Costello who was the manager for the team. This was his first management position and he did an outstanding job!!!! I’m sure this will not be his last.
Meanwhile the SRGC Blue Team went to Liverpool Golf Club where they played against Campbelltown.
Unfortunately they were not as successful but put up a good fight losing 3.5 – 2.5.
Ashton Brown won 6&5
Jackson Northey won 4&3
Joanna Lee halved match
Cooper Ison, Darcy Mackay and Savannah Webb all came away with a loss but nothing to be ashamed off!!!
Thanks also goes to Allan Ison who managed the Blue Team and I’d like to wish him all the best in helping Steve Baird manage the Major Pennant’s next year.
Neither SRGC team came away with a top position within their division but they all played hard, supported each other and learned a lot more about the Matchplay game. As they say “2023 is another year!”
