  • The course has been wet with over 6 inches of rain falling in the month, unfortunately we had to close the course for a few days earlier in the month but has dried out significantly with a few warm days.
  • It’s good to see our members and guests including corporate visitors using the paths in carts if a path is available. This will limit the amount of wheel marks on course and have the course in a playable condition when the rain does stop.

Greens Report

  • The greens are recovering well from the herbicide applications and full recovery won’t be far away. Unfortunately, we have been unable to gain much speed or firmness for club championships due to weather conditions.
  • All greens will continue to improve after light topdressings.
  • Applications of fertilisers, insecticides and fungicides for plant health and recovery were applied during the month of October.

Tees Report

  • The tees have a good coverage of grass. Course staff filling divots on a weekly basis. Driving range mats will be removed before this weekend (Nov 5 & 6) please use sand to repair any divots.
  • Tees have been fertilised.

Bunkers Update

  • Bunkers out of play are 6th greenside only. We have engaged Bob Harrison to provide a concept plan to redevelop and construct new bunkers on the 6th hole which will be far less flood affected from the left side dam. This will be provided when available.
  • Levelling and addition of sand is ongoing, due to rainfall and pumping.

General Staff Update

  • We currently have 10 fulltime with an employee starting today (Monday 31st) and 2 casuals @ 3 days a week. Currently looking for more staff.

Machinery Update

  • Maintenance on all machines was undertaken as per schedule.
  • Machinery order from Toro, expected delivery April 2023.

Irrigation Update

  • Repairs on sprinklers etc. are done as needed.

General Update

  • Paspalum and Kikuyu is being sprayed in fairways and rough lines.
  • Weeding in bunkers is ongoing, every time we are working in bunkers we also weed until golfers catch up to us.
  • Mulching of gardens will be starting next month.
  • Poa annua in fairways, roughs and surrounds will continue to be treated.
