Men’s and Mixed Foursomes Update

The Men’s and Mixed Foursomes are currently in progress with the first rounds completed on the 17 and 18 of June respectively. Round 2 of each event will be played this weekend. A reminder that the Championship is determined by the best scratch score over 36 holes. A net prize is also awarded with each team only eligible for 1 prize.

Leaderboards are available in the “Leaderboard” section of your member profile. At the time of writing this report graded scratch leaderboards for each event are not showing and you can only view a full field leaderboard for this. We are working on a resolution.

Important – If you are in contention for the 36 hole, scratch, Championship in either event you are reminded that in the event of a tie in a grade the winner of the Championship will be decided by sudden death play-off using the 18th hole until a winner is determined. The play – off will commence immediately after the final group’s cards are confirmed for that day. Failure to be present at the play – off will result in the team being ineligible to win and being relegated to the position below that of the lowest play-off participant.

Men’s Foursomes

A Grade is being led by Matt Taylor and Todd Ostler (75). Two shots back on 77 are three pairings, Peter Martin and Wes Cochrane, Daniel Williams and Jacob Carpenter, and Kirk Buckley and Ryan Suckling. Neil Brown and Martin Morrissey lead the net following a first round 68.

Ahmad Siddiqi and Noel Drew (85) top the B Grade leaderboard. The pairings of John and Simon Templeton, and Josh Gillett and Dave Crofts sit 2 shots back following rounds of 87. The net event is also led by Ahmad and Noel.

A first round 92 sees Gus Dannoun and Ray Clapham lead the C Grade event. Robert Simmons and Bob McIntyre are 2 shots back after returning a 94. Gus and Ray are also in the lead for the net on 70.5.

Mixed Foursomes

As per event conditions the grade split in this event is made after round 1 to ensure and equivalence of competitors in the respective grades.

A Grade is led by Lia Lavelle and Ryan Suckling, and Brent Young and Savanah Webb with both pairings returning 79s. Brent and Savannah also lead the net on 72.

Carol Taylor and Ray Clapham (99), lead B Grade from Eugene Hong and Sonia Golebiewski (104). Carol and Ray also lead the net on 73.
