Sunday saw our Apperly team take to Stonecutters up against Cronulla. Coming off the back of last weeks dominant performance against Killara it quickly became obvious the team wasn’t easing its feet off the accelerator. Savannah, on debut at 6 and Ryan (3) stormed to early leads, both 8 up through 9 holes, they closed out their matches 8/7 and 9/8 respectively. Darcy (4) and Michelle (2) also took early leads whilst Kade (1) and Miguel (5) were locked in tighter early contests. Darcy maintained his dominance winning 7/5, whilst Michelle sustained a fight back from her opponent, eventually prevailing 2/1. Kade and Miguel both drew clear of their opponents, winning 5/4 and 3/2 respectively.
So, another 6-0 win which maintains our lead at the top of section 5. This Sunday sees the crucial final round match against the other undefeated team in the section, St Michaels, at Pennant Hills (11.26 tee time). St Michaels will be a tough opponent and our team is up for the challenge. Rest assured, they will be preparing this week and giving it their best shot on Sunday.
