Revised No Show Policy 23rd January 2025

Posted on: 23 January

To ensure that the occurrence of “No Shows” is minimised for SRGC competition events, the following revisions to the current No Show Policy will be effective immediately. The sole intent of this revised policy is to:

  1. Reduce the loss of revenue to SRGC attached to a player not showing up; and
  2. To ensure that SRGC members are not denied the opportunity to play in a competition as the result of a booked tee time that is not used.

The revised No Show Policy is outlined below.

  1. All competition players must remove their name from the competition tee sheet by 6pm on the day before a competition event. Failure to do so will result in penalties being applied in accordance with this revised No Show policy.
  2. A “No Show” report will be run each Monday for the previous week’s competition events.
  3. Names on the no show list will have their names removed from the tee sheet for the following weekend competitions and placed at the bottom of the waitlist for that event with a preferred tee time of one hour either side of the time of the original booking.
  4. Initially, penalties will only apply to Sat and Sun competitions however Tue and Thu competition events will be monitored to determine whether the penalties should apply to these events as well.
  5. Members that are removed from Tee Sheets will receive an email notification advising of this as pre below:

           6. No penalties will be applied where there are justifiable reasons for a no show. An example               of  this will be competition events that are affected by rain.

          7. Members that have not removed their name from competition tee sheets prior to 6pm on the           day before and who believe they have justifiable reason for this occurrence can email              match@srgc.net.au in order that this be considered when assessing no show reports for the previous week. The email MUST be received before 9am on a Monday.
