2023 Master Pennant

The Master Pennant is an inter club tournament for golfers over 50 years of age as at the commencement of the first round. Each contest consists of 8 individual matches played without the benefit of handicap. There are 6 preliminary home and away contests in each section with sectional winners progressing to semi- finals. Stonecutters Ridge will compete in Division 1 in the 2023 competition. Preliminary matches commence in May, followed by semi-finals and finals with contests being played on consecutive Sundays. To be eligible to compete a player must be a 7 Day member.
Selection criteria for the team will include:
- A Handicap.
- Previous results in interclub scratch Matchplay tournaments. (Major Pennant or Master Pennant)
- Results from most recent SRGC Scratch Matchplay Championship.
- Participation and results in both Vardon and Senior Order of Merit (SOOM) events. (A full schedule of events is available at the Golf NSW website at golfnsw.org
- Suitability to represent Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club and ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment.
Members with an interest in being selected are advised to note the selection criteria, with particular reference to participation in either of both the Stonecutters SOOM Event (Monday 6 February) Stonecutters Cup (Saturday 11 February).
Members under consideration for selection will receive an advisory email in February.
In late March a squad will be selected for involvement in practice / final selection matches at SRGC and opposing clubs during April.
