Pace of Play During Club Championships

Posted on: 8 October

A reminder to all members playing in this year’s club championships that your pace of play is more important than ever during these 4 rounds.

Traditionally, the championship rounds are the slowest rounds of our event year and we are seeking the cooperation of all  participants to avoid the 5hr+ rounds experienced by groups playing at the tail of the field on each day.

Please ensure that your group keeps pace with the group in front and if unable to do so, call the group behind through. Play ready golf (hit when it is safe to do so), walk briskly between shots, limit ball search times to 3mins and vacate the greens quickly after your group has holed out.

All championship rounds will be monitored by the Men’s Golf Committee so keep the pace up, enjoy the event and the company, and play well. Best of luck across all four rounds
