Savannah’s Challenge

Posted on: 18 November

I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to play in the NSW Open Pro-Am at The Vintage Golf Club, an experience I will always remember. I had the privilege of teaming up with Alexander Simpson and Nick Flanagan, two outstanding golfers. It was an amazing experience, and I truly valued the opportunity to learn from such talented players.

We competed in a 9-hole Texas Scramble, finishing 3rd on a count back with 47 Stableford points. It was an incredible day of golf, and it gave me the chance to learn a great deal about strategy, how to get the most out of practice, and how to maintain consistency under pressure.

This past weekend, I also competed in the Jack Newton Brett Ogle Junior Masters at Goulburn Golf Club. Over the two-day competition, I finished with a total score of 2 under par. I was fortunate enough to secure the Girls Overall Win by 2 shots, as well as the Girls 16 Years and Over division by 5 shots.

The second day proved to be a real test of resilience. Starting with a 3-shot lead, I found myself 1 shot behind by the 9th hole and 2 shots back by the 13th. Despite the pressure, I stayed committed to my game plan, trusted every shot and putt, and finished strongly with birdie, birdie, birdie, par, par.

This victory is especially meaningful after what has been a challenging 12 months filled with ups and downs, both on the course and mentally. The journey has taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, focus, and self-belief. It is incredibly rewarding to see that the hard work and dedication I’ve put in to my game beginning to pay off.

I am extremely grateful for these opportunities and would like to thank everyone at Stonecutters who made it possible for me to participate in these events, as well as all the members who continue to support me.
