Congratulations to Brent Young and Paul McGuffie who won the Clifton Shield on last Saturday, 5 & 4 winners over Raymond Costello and Ryan Cadle.

The final of the A.E Clifton Shield was played on Saturday 29/7. In a battle of youth vs experience, Raymond Costello and Ryan Cadle took on Paul McGuffie and Brent Young in the 36-hole final. Paul and Brent established a 2-hole lead at 9 holes which they maintained at the half-way point. With 8 birdies between the pairings in the 10-hole stretch from holes 6 to 15 the match was certainly providing high quality golf. Paul and Brent increased the lead to 4 holes after 27 and eventually closed out the match 5/4.
