Unfortunately, our match against St Michaels at Pennant Hills didn’t go our way. Credit to St Michaels on winning the day, topping the section and progressing to the finals series. During the early holes we held our own, but as the matches progressed St Michaels gained the advantage, if only slightly. In the end the 4.5 to 1.5 result didn’t really reflect the closeness of the encounter with 3 matches determined on the 17th. Our points came from Michelle (2/1) and Ryan (sq) both of whom completed undefeated seasons, a significant accomplishment.

Harry provided sterling leadership as Captain in his final year, and we will miss him next year. However, we showed this year that we have significant depth and another 12 months of development of that depth will see SRGC as strong contenders again in 2024. All of our players represented SRGC in an exemplary manner throughout the season. We would like to thank our caddies: Brent Young, Matt Horton, Bob Macintyre, Daniel Beattie, Mark Cadle, Allan Ison, Steve Baird and Lia Lavelle, your support is greatly appreciated. Also, to our supporters who came out each week to cheer us on and who were there to console us on Sunday when to be honest we were all a bit flat following the outcome, a big THANK YOU!
